Week 30: Cambios! ~ February 15, 2016

Well we finished another transfer this last week. I cannot believe how much time has already passed.  We moved houses, but I still have the same companion.  Hermana Barzola and I will get another 6 weeks here in Aguascalientes.  Our new apartment is really adorable and I'm excited to be living there. The only thing it doesn't have is a boiler, haha. But that's ok. There should be one coming soon and we sort of have a stove to warm up water to bathe.

This last week we had exchanges and I was with another sister from the US and it was SUPER weird to speak English with her. Most of the time one of us would say something in English and the other would answer in Spanish. Haha. I guess we have both adjusted to speaking Spanish.

Also it is starting to get warm here. Like uncomfortably warm. And it's February.... I'm a little worried about what it will be like come April or May (which are the hottest months of the year here.)  And my eyes are really tired from the sun. But the up side is maybe I finally get a tan. Probably not but I can hope.

One really funny/embarrassing thing that happened this week is we went to visit a recent convert named Marco. He is 30 and single and his mom is anxiously awaiting the day when he will find himself a wife. We got to his house and he wasn't there and so we started talking with his mom. She asked us A LOT of questions about ourselves and I guess I passed whatever test she was giving us because later when we were teaching Marco she came into the room and basically said "you should marry the pale one" Haha. I'm not sure who was more uncomfortable, him or me. Haha. My companion later told me that she did the same thing with the last missionary from the US so that makes me feel less awkward. Haha.

Well we're hoping the María will be baptized this Saturday. She is really nervous and wants to wait another week but we left her Mosiah 18:8-10 to read and told her to ask God what he wants her to do, so we'll see what happens.

Love you all. Keep praying for me! (And pray for clouds)
